Veel ruimte en sfeer in dit hotel.

Op de grote binnenplaats kun je heerlijk zitten tussen de palmen of zitten in het lauwe water van de 2 zwembandjes. De kamers zijn ruim en kleurrijk. Ongevraagd werden we van standaardpakket naar luxe kamer met kingsizebed geüpgraded. Zelfs een bank erbij en een goedwerkende airco. Het ontbijt is geen buffet zoals in de omschrijving staat. Je moet zelf de slappe koffie pakken. Dan krijg je een sapje, 2 geroosterde boterhammen en een gebakken eitje. Verwacht daar niet teveel van. Kwartiertje lopen naar de sleutelpoort maar om de hoek kun je prima eten. Engels spreken ze niet maar zeer hulpvaardig. Ze regelen een busje voor je van hotel naar hotel in Santa Marta. Goede deal voor 27 euro!

Amazing experience

This hotel is in a great location, 10 min walk to everything. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel has such a nice vibe, simple yet deliscious breakfast as well.

Staff was wonderful. Very nice to me. However... There was something wrong with every area of the hotel. I booked a deluxe but was given the smallast room, with a view of the chair by the outdoor jacuzzi. I was smilingly led to a larger room but the room's jacuzzi was broken ("All the jacuzzs in the hotel are broken") and the window was boarded up with wood. My third room that they generously gave me, was nice, but the air conditioner had no frion. And I had to ask three times to fix it. Just as it became comfortable it was time to leave. With more proactive management, and lots of physical fixing, this pretty property could be nice. Staff are very very very sweet.

Det är ett fantastiskt litet hotell och de ger bra service exempelvis gör de frukost efter önskemål och hjälper till med det du behöver. Städningen blev sämre över tid och jag bodde där i 21 dagar, fick fråga efter handdukar lite då och då och duschen fungerade inte riktigt som den skulle då munstycket var trasigt. Två fungerade inte heller då den inte hade några kanaler/signal. Men alla i personalen är supergulliga även om de inte pratar särskilt mycket engelska. Skulle absolut rekommendera att bo där och skulle själv göra det igen när jag åker tillbaka till cartagena.

The hotel was in an excellent location and the staff was very friendly. Overall the hotel was amazing it was very clean and the amenities were fantastic! Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to Cartagena.

Hotellet låg perfekt i gamla staden med gångavstånd till det mesta, bara någon gata ifrån alla barer och restauranger. Tryggt område och hjälpsam personal. Rummen var fräscha och låg på en mysig innegård.

Hermoso hotel en la ciudad amurallada!

Estuvimos seis noches en Casa Palenque hotel, hermoso hotel, la atención es excelente el personal muy amable y con una decoración bella, tiene todas las comodidades y una ubicación execelente. Luego nos fuimos a Barú e Islas del Rosario y cuando regresamos a Cartagena volvimos a alojarnos aquí unas tres noches más. Muy recomendable!!!

Beautiful and cozy, great Walled City location.

I loved my Standard double room! It was cozy, colorful, and perfect for my week getaway yo Colombia. The staff were all super nice, helpful, and always smilimg! The hotel itself is super clean and lovely. Its in a great location, not too close to the buzz of center city, but close enough to walk everywhere. The only thing was my new was extremely firm, and I like firm beds, but it was super-super firm. If you have a problem with firm need, you may not like that. Other than that I recommend and I would definitely stay again!!!

Got switched at the last minute

The Ratings above were for the Old Town B&B. The palenque people moved me to another hotel the day that I arrived. Claimed it was due to construction noise. The Old Town B&B was very nice and I will stay there again when I return.....

A reserva falava de um quarto com janela para o jardim primeira mentira!!!O quarto não tinha janelas tinha uma porta de madeira LOTADA de cupins que se abrisse todos iam me ver lá dentro sem nenhuma privacidade!!!O quarto sujo tive que pedir para limpar os restos que os cupins deixavam !!!NOJENTO!!! Café da manhã bem limitado . Não recomendo!!!

Great place and staff

Casa Palenque was a great choice, the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. They were always there to assist us, and even helped us book day trips during the days. The place is just like the pictures. The only down side is that there is a construction site right next door, and we were awake every day by 7-8am.

Clean, safe hotel conveniently located.

The hotel is cute, clean and conveniently located. My main issue with it is that there is a huge construction project - half a block long - a couple of doors down. Weekdays and Saturdays construction begins at 7am, and there is no break from the noise. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay at the hotel until the construction is done. Also, the chairs in front of the tiny pool are right outside the hotel room doors, and anyone who is out there late or early making noise means absolutely no sleep inside the rooms. The doors are too thin. Finally, the breakfast is only ok, and the pool is very small. The hot tub didn't have hot water, just little water jets.

Nice place to stay

Staff was great. Area was quiet and quaint. Hotel room itself wasn't the best, but you get what you pay for. Although the price was low and the location was good, the hotel room wasn't the best. I know you are there to sleep and shower but it doesn't mean that the room should have mold in the bathroom and an inch of muck on the ceiling fan. Oh yea, we were infested with termites too. I expect certain things based on where I am in relation to what country I'm in. I guess my expectations were a little too high. I would still recommend this hotel. Oh yea, be very careful of the water. I got sick. Got some sort of bacteria. I don't know if it was at the hotel or from one of the many restaurants we visited. We did drink bottled water but make sure you brush your teeth with bottled water and when you are in the shower. refrain from rinsing your mouth.

Casa avec potentiel

La Casa est jolie au premier coup d'œil mais semble malheureusement manquer d'un peu d'amour. L'emplacement dans le centre historique est parfait. Nous avons aussi bien apprécié la petite piscine en fin de journée. Toutefois, certains détails font que nous ny retournerions pas. Par exemple, verres et mégots traînants par terre, serviettes et tapis de bain tachés, manque de supports et crochets pour le rangement, fenêtres condamnées, lits très durs, etc. Bref, la casa Palenque a beaucoup de charme et de potentiel, mais certaines améliorations seraient nécessaires pour en faire une casa où je souhaiterais revenir.
