โOur second time at the Bay Leaf on our trip to the Andaman Islands.
We found the BL to be a modern well run hotel and a good central location.
We stayed in two types of rooms we found both to be of a good standard.
Eg: comfortable beds, clean well maintained bathrooms and good AC/Fans.
The rooftop restaurant /Bar is a nice place to eat dinner or enjoy a cocktail overlooking Port Blair, once again we found the level of service excellent.
Probably the best accommodation we have found on this...
โI found Supreme Palace to be all I needed while spending a week in Port Blair. The staff were extremely polite and respectful. Nothing that I asked for was refused and they were concerned about my plans for daytime activities. The hotel though not near the centre is not too far away that you canโt walk to the bazaar. Transportation can be accommodated if you either want to talk tours or drive yourself by car or motor scooter. โ
โThe reception guest attendent and owner were very helpful and guided a lot to make the whole experience of Andaman good. The rooms were clean and good after being upgraded. One of the good hotels to stay at Andaman looking for cheap and best options. Food quality was also best and cost effective with outside rates. A big thumbs up for the same. โ
โWhat we did not like was that the hotel looked good on the expedia website but the reality was very different. The entrance was very depressing and at night was not lit at all. You needed a torch to find your way. Room was big but was not very clean. We even had an additional guest. A cockroach! The hotel is overpriced for what it provides.โ

Quality of service was good except morning packed breakfast.
Hotel amenities was good except wifi was working in reception only and mobile network is also not present in room.โ
โWe stayed there for one night but there was loud music going on on their terrace which they did not slow down the music even after I complained. The music went on till 11pm , I complained twice after that they stopped.

โRoom as okay and decent size but AC, hot water and TV not working, they admit they cut the cable service to save money. No amenities, lift not working, no staff at counter. They promised breakfast but staff woke up late and we had to get packed breakfast in a haste.โ
โAvoid Sakthi Holidays Inn if you are a foreigner
I had a frustrating experience with Sakthi Holidays Inn and Expedia.at that every non-Indian traveler should be aware of.
I booked and prepaid a Deluxe Room at Sakthi Holidays Inn via Expedia.de. Upon arrival, the hotel denied our stay, claiming they had no record of our reservation, despite me showing them confirmation of booking and invoice. Turns out, Sakthi Holidays Inn had lost its license to accommodate foreign guests due to immigration...
