Central California, California hotel rooms at the Marriott Hotels & Resorts

"The property is worn out and needs help. The breakfast area is overrun with people and not enough seats. The trash collectors came at 6:00 am with their beeping trucks. Not the greatest experience. "

"The views are great! The property is very tired as are the rooms. There was no service for fresh towels after 3 days, no restocking the Kureg coffee, no trash pick up...nothing. The restaurant food was awful! Seemed like frozen Costco food popped in the micro. If you are looking for a romantic getaway, don't stay. If you have kids, they can run amok and have fun."

"The room was clean. However, it was outdated. The toilet was so low it was like sitting on the floor to go to bathroom. The shower was terrible no water pressure and the shower head was so low i literally had to bend in half to rinse my hair and face. My kids slept on the couch fold out and were woken up by screaming and fighting from the people next to use who thought it was ok to stand in front of our window to do it. We never used the pool because it was packed the entire time. The beach was a short walk down some very step stairs. Downtown was close enough to walk to. This hotel is not handicap or wheelchair friendly. The hallways are extremely narrow and the elevator is in a tiny hallway located between the office and hotel rooms. There were no handicapped spots by my room (207) and no elevator access close by. "

"Great central location with a Starbucks across the street. Perfect for business trip and family trip as well. Very close to the aquarium. Wonderful staff. We forgot our laptop with movies on it on checkout and the front desk staff were extremely helpful and looking for it. When they couldn't find it in the room, they said that we were welcome to look for it. We eventually did find it. Really great service and very friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again in the future."

"The room was nice and clean came with free espresso coffee. The scenery was beautiful and the outdoor area connected to the room was beautiful. The amenities were nice and there were many. Along with having a free golf course and then a larger one that cost money. It is all worth it. Carmel itself is gorgeous and it’s about a 5 minute drive into the cute little shopping areas there. I 100% recommend this place. One down side is that the upstairs neighbors did have children and they were a little load when they jumped. "

"Windows were falling apart wouldn't close all the way, sink was not secured to the wall. TV was not working. We were staying in the historical part which I'm sure contributed."
