"I was very disappointed with my stay at the Congress Hotel. The room was in clear need of maintenance and updating. There were cracked tiles and damaged drywall, and the overall condition felt worn and neglected. The heating and air conditioning unit did not function properly, which made the room uncomfortable.
The blanket provided had visible holes, and there were noticeable gaps under the door, allowing noise and light from the hallway to come through easily. Soundproofing between rooms was also extremely poor—it often sounded like neighboring guests were in the same room.
Additionally, the space appears to have gone decades without meaningful updates, with heavy layers of old paint and an overall dated appearance. Unfortunately, the condition of the room significantly impacted the quality of my stay."
