“What a little gem Hill End Lodge was. We arrived late at night - cold and tired. John welcomed us warmly and Sue and Laura cooked up a storm for us. The place was warm and welcoming. Food and drinks were excellent and the atmosphere was just beautiful. Cabin was set in the most beautiful surroundings and cosy and comfortable. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return. Thanks all. ”

“Parking for overnight guests should have priority over drinkers and family dinners . Especially weekends . Second ...under the wall table had coffee stains splattered on the wall and the ice was nearly falling out of the freezer . Staff were ok....some unfriendly and unhelpful. One lady there delivered chips and coffee to our room 8. Thankyou very much. The price for the room was more than what it should be . ”

“the room was spacious enough and the bed was very comfortable. we liked having the little kitchenette and it was suitably set up for simple meal preparation. the location is out of town, so we found it peaceful, and it was handy to Mount Panorama which my husband liked. it is a large, somewhat rambling facility with some communal areas like lounges and kitchenettes, that might appeal if conditions meant you need to stay indoors. “Parking was good and food at the Bistro was nice too. Hotel is old and rooms inside are adequate but run down and a bit noisy (if you get noisy neighbors). You get what you pay for.”

“Friendly & very helpful, very close to the main shops, cafes & clubs with easy access to all & onsite parking outside my room. I definitely recommend this property & would stay there again. ”

“Room was not cleaned, there was spider cobwebs under TV unit, bathroom. Floor was dirty with dirt and gum was stuck on the floor under the bed. Lizard was there in the bathroom. Other than that there was no issue. ”

“Room was clean and comfortable however there was no toilet roll holder so the toilet paper was on the window sill. I wasn’t able to use my cpap machine due to the positioning of the power points. Rooms really need an upgrade but was fine for one night.”

“The property is a bit dated but the rooms were clean and the motel was in a convenient and quiet location. A good choice for an overnight stay. We found the plumbing was noisy but this was only an issue in the evening and morning.”
