โmcmenamins is always super fun! Basic SRO style rooms , but very comfortable beds and linens.
Like usual, this is a bit different from the usual hotel room - the facilities are great and the amenities far more comfortable than youโd think for the price , but if you want the average motel experience keep looking.
Vintage touches galore., modern AC / hvac, no direct controls. Wifi limited. Mcmenamins restaurants are technically next door , meaning you will ever so briefly exit to street...
โThis property is an amazing renovation of a historic building, so it has a lot of charm. We were a little nervous when they pointed out the earplugs in the room, but we honestly didn't hear the train all night, and the wedding party in the ballroom was done by 10pm. I would recommend this hotel. โ
โFriendly and accommodating staff. The shower had water pooling issues, and the AC was loud when it kicked in. The AC didn't disrupt my sleep, though.โ
โI like the privacy on the wooded side of the property and the staff is kind. I don't like the interstate 5 side of the property as it can get very noisy in the room โ
โClean room, lots to do, and friendly staff. The one front desk clerk was bouncing a ball on the desk and not looking at us when we asked a question but everyone else - rest of front desk, housekeeping, janitors - were all very friendly, professional, and helpful.
The rooms are big and clean. The only downside was no room service, but we were able to order take out from a restaurant and bring back to the room anyways. Pool is really nice and was perfecr for a hot day.
Would definitely stay here...
