"It was our first family trip to Shanghai and mainland China. From the moment we arrived at Conrad, the staff warmly welcomed us. The Premier Room was spacious and comfortable for our family of three. Breakfast was excellent, and the location was extremely convenient, with major attractions within walking distance. "This place had a lot of potential. Staff was very kind and the breakfast was great, but the rooms and hotel common areas had a musty smell. They tried to mask it with air freshener in the lobby which I think was not ideal. To make things worse, we were advised not to open the windows because of bugs. As per usual with a lot of places we stayed in China, the cleaning was not spotless particularly in the bathroom and shower."
