If you're not prepared, traveling can be daunting. But there's no need to hit the panic button just yet. Follow these helpful hints for a worry-free start to your getaway in Beru. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a stress-free experience if you carry the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, find a spot in your bag for your laptop, a charger, any vital medications and maybe a blow-up neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and fireworks, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of a plane are not the best place for a fashion parade. Layer yourself up with comfortable clothes and remember to take a sweater as it can get quite cool in the cabin during long-haul flights. Slightly roomy, flat shoes are also a good choice.
- Most of us have heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There's lots you can do to lessen your risk. Don a pair of compression socks or tights, stay well hydrated and remember to keep your legs and feet moving. Wander around the cabin or perform some stretches in your seat.
