We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be cruising through the airport and discovering Bonar in next to no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a great experience if you take the right things. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and a good book. Secondly, find a spot in your bag for your laptop, a charger, any vital medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and strong acids, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and choose shoes that are flat, roomy and easy to remove.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
