We've pulled together all the info you need to make your journey as enjoyable as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be hightailing it through the airport and seeing the best of Cameron in no time at all. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a cruisy experience if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and something to read. Secondly, find a spot in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, your medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to feel as comfortable as possible. Opt for shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to take a jacket in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Wander around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
