We've rounded up all the info you need to make your flight a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be speeding through airport security and having a blast in Casscoe before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having a great flight experience is to pack ahead. So, let's start with the essentials: passport, travel docs, bank cards and daily medications. Next, bring items that'll help while away those hours, like some electronic devices or a few magazines. You'll also want to bring your chargers, a quality neck pillow and a pair of headphones. Finally, be sure to pop in toiletry items like a toothbrush, deodorant and a spare set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and strong acids, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of your plane are not the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and bring a cardigan as it can get quite cool inside the cabin during longer flights. Flat, enclosed shoes are also recommended.
- Unfortunately, one risk of long flights is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged inactivity. To prevent this, take every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression tights and socks are another easy way to help minimize this risk.
