Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Chitral could be completely stress-free or it could go on forever. We've compiled some tips that will help you start your next great adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a comfortable experience if you bring the right gear. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a good read. Next, find a spot in your bag for your electronic devices, chargers, any vital medications and maybe a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to take your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosol cans, flares and poisons, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to be as comfortable as you can. Pick slip-on footwear, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to take a jacket in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Most travelers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
