We've pulled together all the info you need to make your journey a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and you'll be zooming through airport security and enjoying Dily in no time. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a stress-free experience if you bring the right things. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good novel. Next, leave space in your bag for your laptop, a charger, your important medications and maybe a quality neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, remember to take your passport, travel documents and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and fuels, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and opt for shoes that are flat and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
