Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've prepared well. We've put together a list of handy tips that will help get your Dipkun vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The trick to having an awesome travel experience is to be prepared. So, let's start with the essentials: passport, official ID, bank cards and daily medications. Next, bring items that'll help keep you occupied, like some electronic devices or a few magazines. It's also smart to bring your chargers, a quality neck pillow and a pair of earplugs. And of course, don't forget to squeeze in toiletries like a toothbrush, deodorant and a fresh change of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of hair gel and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and strong acids, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are not the place for a fashion parade. Layer yourself up with comfortable clothes and remember to take a sweater as the temperature can drop inside the cabin during long-haul flights. Enclosed, flat shoes are also a sensible choice.
- A condition by the name of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation. Walking up and down the aisle and doing foot and leg exercises in your seat helps to prevent this from occurring. Wearing a good pair of compression socks is also a wise idea.
