Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you're prepared. We've put together a list of top travel tips that will help get your Dudu escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a pleasure if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good read. Next, find room in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, your important medications and maybe a proper neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to take your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and matches, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your highest priority when deciding what to wear on board. Loose clothing is a wise choice, as are flat, closed-toe shoes.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and keep your feet and legs moving.
