Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you're well organized. We've compiled a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Erica escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be easy if you take the right gear. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good book. Secondly, leave space in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, your important medications and maybe a neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have a Swiss Army knife hiding in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive goods, like aerosols and matches, and gels and liquids in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your main concern when choosing what to wear on your flight. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible choice, as are flat, closed-toe shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
