If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be a real challenge. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these helpful hints for a worry-free start to your vacation in Erzovka. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a fresh change of clothes and a good book. Secondly, find a spot in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, any daily medications and perhaps a proper neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp or pointed objects hiding in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable products, such as bleach and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort really should be your priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Consider your footwear choice carefully too, as swollen ankles and feet can be a side effect of flying. Shoes which are flat and slightly roomy are always a sensible way to go.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long flights is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, take every opportunity to stretch your legs and walk around the cabin. Compression socks and tights are also a great idea to help minimize this risk.
