Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you're well organized. We've made a list of handy tips that will get your Frehel escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack your passport, travel docs, wallet and medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy novel and a tablet filled with your favorite shows are some terrific options. If you plan to take a short nap, a quality neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a few toiletry items so you'll arrive at your destination looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and matches, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and go for shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
