Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well organized. We've put together a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Goychay vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a comfortable experience if you take the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a clean set of clothes and a good book. Next, find room in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, your important medications and maybe a cozy neck pillow too. Lastly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp objects (like a knife or scissors) lurking in one of the compartments of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include explosive or flammable goods, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and liquids and gels in containers larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to be as comfortable as you can. Dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and don't forget to pack a cardigan in case you get cold. Opt for a pair of flat, slightly roomy shoes as it's possible that your feet and ankles will swell during the flight. Leave the high heels and chunky boots in your luggage.
- Most travelers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There's lots you can do to mitigate your risk. Wear a quality pair of compression tights or socks, stay well hydrated and get your legs and feet moving. Wander up and down the aisles of the cabin or perform some stretches in your seat.
