Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you've prepared well enough. We've made a list of handy tips that will get your Grandici escape started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be easy if you take the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a clean set of clothes and a few magazines. Next, find room in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, any vital medications and perhaps a neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in cabin temperature by layering up, and pick flat, enclosed shoes like slip-ons.
- The result of sustained periods of immobility, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers during long flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your legs and feet moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
