Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Hewiia could be a breeze or it could go on forever. We've put together some useful travel tips that will help you start your next big adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, put in your passport, travel documents, bank cards and medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the time. A juicy novel and a phone filled with your favorite shows are always good options. If you hope to catch a few z's, a comfy neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, find room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll hop off the plane looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, chemicals agents and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort really should be your prime concern when picking what to wear during your flight. Consider your footwear choice with care too, as swollen ankles and feet can be a side effect of flying. Slightly roomy, flat shoes work well.
- A condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity. Walking around the cabin and doing regular foot and leg exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this happening. Wearing a good-quality pair of compression tights or socks may also help.
