Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're well prepared. We've put together a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Knoxhult vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack in your passport, travel documents, wallet and medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy novel and a tablet crammed with your favorite movies are some wonderful options. If you intend to take a quick snooze, a neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll touchdown looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have a pocket knife hiding in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other banned items include flammable or explosive substances, such as aerosol cans and fuel, and liquids and gels in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be the goal when choosing what to wear during your flight. Consider your footwear choice with care too, as swelling of the feet and ankles are a common occurrence. Shoes which are flat and slightly roomy are always a sensible way to go.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-haul flights is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To avoid this, take every opportunity to wander around the cabin. Compression socks and tights are another simple way to help lower your risk.
