No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a seamless experience if you prepare well enough. We've compiled a list of handy tips that will help get your Kopaonik escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a pleasure if you bring the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare pair of socks and a magazine or two. Next, make room in your hand luggage for your laptop, a charger, your medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp or pointed objects, like a pocket knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and poisons, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your top priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Go for easy-to-remove footwear, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to bring a sweater in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lessen your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
