Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you prepare well enough. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will get your Little Rock escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be easy if you pack the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a spare change of clothes and a good read. Secondly, find a spot in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, your medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to bring your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items can differ between airlines, the general rule of thumb is nothing sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, blades, spray paint and fireworks. Sports equipment like ice skates, and items that could harm passengers, such as firearms and ammunition, are also banned from the cabin.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when choosing what to wear during your flight. Loose clothing is a sensible choice, as are enclosed shoes like sneakers.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to promote better circulation.
