Depending on where you're coming from, your journey to Misgav Am could be a breeze or it could go on forever. We've put together some handy travel tips that will help you start your next big adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a stress-free experience if you bring the right things. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare pair of socks and a magazine or two. Next, make room in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to take your passport, travel docs and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and strong acids, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to be as comfortable as possible. Choose a pair of flat, closed-toe shoes, dress in loose, natural fibers and remember to take a jacket in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Most travelers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To lower your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression tights or socks and keep your feet and legs moving.
