Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Oehrenstock could be as easy as pie or it could go on forever. We've compiled some useful tips that will help you start your unforgettable escape on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Traveling on a plane can be a comfortable experience if you carry the right things. First of all you'll need toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a fresh set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, leave space in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any daily medications and maybe a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, don't forget to bring your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a sharp object hiding in one of the zippers of your hand luggage. Other restricted items include flammable or explosive goods, such as aerosol cans and bleach, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The long, narrow aisles of your aircraft are not the best place for a fashion parade. Layer yourself up with comfortable clothes and take a cardigan as the temperature can drop inside the cabin during long-haul flights. Enclosed, flat shoes are always a good idea too.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-distance travel is developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To prevent this, take every opportunity to walk around and give your legs a stretch. Compression tights and socks are another easy way to help reduce this risk.
