If you're poorly prepared, traveling can be tough. But there's no need to panic. Follow these helpful hints for a worry-free start to your time in Prespes. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a comfortable experience if you pack the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some basic toiletries, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a clean pair of socks and a magazine or two. Secondly, find a spot in your bag for your electronic gadgets, chargers, any medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, remember to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Check carefully that you don't have sharp or pointed objects lurking in the bottom of your hand luggage. Other prohibited items include explosive or flammable substances, like aerosols and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The main aim is to be as comfortable as you can. Layer yourself up in natural-fiber clothing and don't forget to pack a sweater in case it gets cool. Go for a pair of flat, slightly roomy shoes as your feet may swell a little during the journey. Leave the stilettos and heavy hiking boots in your main luggage.
- The serious condition called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-distance flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to poor circulation and inactivity. Doing regular leg and foot exercises while seated helps to prevent this from occurring. Wearing a quality pair of compression tights or socks also helps reduce your risk.
