Depending on where you're coming from, your flight to Pydna could be a piece of cake or it could go on forever. We've put together some useful travel tips that will help you start your next big adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a stress-free experience if you carry the right stuff. First things first, you'll need toiletry items, such as lip balm and hand cream, a clean pair of socks and a few magazines. Next, find a spot in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, any medications and perhaps a cozy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to take your passport, travel docs and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Double-check that you don't have sharp objects (like a pocket knife) hiding in the bottom of your carry-on luggage. Other banned items include explosive or flammable goods, such as fuel and fireworks, and gels and liquids in containers with a volume of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- The goal here is to be as comfortable as you can. Layer up with loose, natural-fiber clothing and remember to bring a cardigan in case you get cold. Opt for a pair of flat, well-fitting shoes as your feet may swell during the journey. Leave the stilettos and hiking boots in your checked baggage.
- The serious condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clotting due to inactivity and poor circulation. Walking up and down the aisle and doing leg and foot exercises while seated helps to prevent this developing. Wearing a high-quality pair of compression tights or socks also helps reduce the risk.
