No matter where you're coming from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've prepared well enough. We've compiled a list of essential travel tips that will get your Qazim Pali escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be easy if you've got all the right things. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a clean pair of socks and a few magazines. Next, make room in your hand luggage for your mobile phone, a charger, your important medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow as well. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to take your passport, travel docs and some money.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Sharp objects, like your treasured Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and gasoline, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are no place for a fashion parade. Don comfortable layers and choose shoes that are flat and easy to slip on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
