Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you're well prepared. We've compiled a list of handy travel tips that will get your Qiuji escape started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- The secret to having a pain-free flight experience is to pack in advance. First up, the essentials: passport, travel documents, bank cards and vital medications. Next, take on board items that'll help keep you entertained, like some electronic gadgets or a magazine. It's also a wise idea to pack your chargers, a neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones. Finally, be sure to squeeze in toiletries like a toothbrush, cleansing wipes and a clean set of clothes.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hair gel in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and matches, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to feel as comfortable as possible. Pick shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and remember to bring a sweater in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks.
