If you're not prepared, traveling can be testing. But don't hit the panic button just yet. Follow these tips and tricks and enjoy a comfortable start to your time in Rátót. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, put in your passport, travel documents, wallet and medications. Next, you'll need some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling book and a phone filled with your favorite movies are always good options. If you hope to take a quick nap, a comfy neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you arrive looking fresh and raring to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious pocket knife, and dangerous goods which are flammable or explosive, such as aerosols and poisons, are also restricted.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to feel as comfortable as possible. Go for shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to take a sweater in case you get cold in the cabin.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by lengthy periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Try to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
