Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Rots could be completely stress-free or it could go on forever. We've compiled some handy tips that will help you start your next great adventure on a positive note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, pack in your passport, official ID, bank cards and daily medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the time. A juicy novel and a laptop crammed with your favorite movies are some wonderful options. If you plan to catch a few z's, a quality neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll touchdown looking fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Sharp or pointed objects, like a Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as flares, bleaching agents and fuels, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to be as comfortable as you can. Go for shoes that are easy to slip on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a pullover in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- Most travelers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of sitting. To reduce your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression socks and keep your feet and legs moving.
