Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you've planned ahead. We've compiled a list of handy travel tips that will help get your Rozet vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First and foremost, put in your passport, official ID, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll want some entertainment to while away the time. A juicy novel and a phone crammed with your favorite movies are some wonderful options. If you hope to catch more than just forty winks, a quality neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll step off the plane looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and strong acids, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main aim is to feel as comfortable as possible. Opt for easy-to-remove footwear, dress in loose, natural-fiber clothing and remember to take a sweater in case you get chilly in the cabin.
- Most travelers are aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To lower your risk on board, drink plenty of water, consider wearing compression tights or socks and keep your feet and legs moving.
