We've pulled together all the info you need to make your journey a stress-free experience. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be cruising through the airport and seeing the best of Sagbama before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- It's easy — first, pack your passport, important documents, credit cards and medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the time. A juicy novel and a phone crammed with your favorite shows are good options. If you intend to catch up on some sleep, a comfy neck pillow and some earplugs will also be useful. Finally, squeeze in a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll hop off the plane feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Pointed or sharp objects, like your trusty Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Choose comfort over style. Prepare for changes in temperature by dressing in layers, and opt for flat, enclosed shoes like slip-ons.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to inactivity and poor circulation, so do some gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression tights or socks.
