Depending on where you're coming from, your trip to Smith Center could be a piece of cake or it could drag on forever. We've pulled together some tips that will help you start your next great adventure on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Flying can be a pleasure if you bring the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and lip balm, a fresh set of clothes and a good read. Secondly, find room in your bag for your mobile phone, a charger, any daily medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, be sure to take your passport, travel documents and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Make sure you don't have a sharp object hiding in one of the zippers of your carry-on luggage. Other prohibited items include flammable or explosive goods, such as fuel and matches, and liquids and gels in containers with a capacity of more than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters).
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim here is to feel as comfortable as possible. Choose shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a jacket in case you get cold in the cabin.
- The result of prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect some passengers during long-distance flights. Reduce the risks by staying hydrated, keeping your legs moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
