Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you're prepared. We've made a list of handy travel tips that will get your Steg vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First things first, pack in your passport, travel docs, cash and vital medications. Next, you'll need some extra in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A juicy novel and a phone crammed with your favorite shows are some terrific options. If you hope to take a short nap, a neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, leave some space for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes to ensure you hop off the plane feeling fresh and ready to go.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of prohibited items differs between air carriers, the general guide to follow is avoid carrying anything flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes box cutters, razor blades, aerosol cans and flares. Sports equipment like hockey sticks, and objects that could harm passengers, such as pepper spray and guns, can't come on board with you either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your main priority is to be as comfortable as possible. Pick shoes that are easy to pull on and off, dress in loose, breathable clothing and remember to take a jacket in case you get cold in the cabin.
- You're probably aware of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clotting condition caused by long periods of inactivity. To minimize your risk on board, drink lots of water, consider wearing compression socks and keep your feet and legs moving.
