We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as stress-free as possible. Follow our tips and tricks and you'll be hightailing it through airport security and exploring Tony before you know it. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- First, pack in your passport, travel docs, bank cards and vital medications. Next, you'll want some in-flight entertainment to help pass the time. A thrilling book and a laptop filled with your favorite shows are always good options. If you intend to take a quick nap, a neck pillow and some earplugs will also come in handy. Finally, squeeze in a few toiletry items to ensure you step off the plane looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. Pointed or sharp objects, like your beloved Swiss Army knife, and dangerous products which are explosive or flammable, such as spray paint, flares and poisons, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Dress in comfortable layers and opt for shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to take on and off.
- The result of prolonged periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clot condition that can affect passengers during long-haul flights. Reduce the risks by staying hydrated, keeping your legs moving and wearing compression socks to help your circulation.
