Wherever you're coming from, flying can be a pleasant experience if you've prepared well. We've made a list of handy tips that will help get your Uch-Dere vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you bring the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want some toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a fresh set of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, make room in your carry-on bag for your laptop, a charger, your medications and perhaps a neck pillow as well. Lastly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of restricted items differs between airlines, the general rule to follow is nothing flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, knives, aerosol cans and bleaching agents. Sporting equipment like baseball bats, and objects that could harm passengers, such as pepper spray and firearms, aren't allowed in the cabin either.
What to wear on a flight:
- The answer to a comfortable flight is often as simple as your choice of clothes. Prepare for temperature changes by bringing layers. That way you'll stay nice and warm if the cabin gets chilly. Shoes like sandals and heels are best left for other occasions. Even though they may be your favorites, opt for flat, closed-toed footwear like sneakers. Your feet will thank you later.
- Unfortunately, a risk of long-distance flying is developing DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clotting condition caused by extended periods of inactivity. To prevent this from happening, make the most of every opportunity to walk around the cabin and stretch your legs. Compression tights and socks are another simple way to help reduce this risk.
