Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a pleasurable experience if you're prepared. We've put together a list of handy tips and tricks that will get your Zadvarje vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a cruisy experience if you bring the right stuff. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a few magazines. Secondly, make room in your carry-on bag for your mobile phone, a charger, medications and maybe a quality neck pillow too. Lastly, remember to take your passport, travel docs and your credit cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked baggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like a pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, bleaching agents and strong acids, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- The key to a comfortable flight is as simple as your choice of clothing. Prepare for temperature changes by bringing layers. That way you'll stay nice and warm if the cabin gets too cold. Shoes like stilettos, flip flops and lace-up boots are best left in your checked suitcase. Even though they may be your favorites, opt for flat, closed-toed footwear like sneakers. Your feet will appreciate it.
- The condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a potential risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clotting due to poor circulation. Doing foot and leg exercises while seated is a great way to prevent this developing. Wearing a good pair of compression socks also helps reduce the risk.
