Hotel staff Yuvaraj was extremely helpful

The room was extremely small but i stayed because of hotel staff Yuvuraj's hospitality and helpfulness as when my son was unwell due to food poisoning eating from Bukari Biryani, hotel staff Yuvuraj helped very much to bring us to the doctor and patiently waited with us for nearly 3 hours until treatment finished and brought us back. Its wss a big comfort. I will recommend anyone to go to this hotel because of the staff Yuvuraj. Thanks very much again Yuvuraj. Appreciated much.

Nice hotel - especially for US Visa

A nice place to stay especially if you want your US visa done. It is jut 10 minutes walk to the OFC. We stayed for 2 nights and had driven down from Bangalore. Only issues is a not so nice frontage and no parking facilities - you will have to park on the road during the day. The security is however very helpful and will keep an eye on your car. It is just a Guest house and not really a full service restaurant. It is situated just above Sangeetha a vegetarian restaurant so food is not a problem. The staff though limited, were very helpful

Convenient for US Consulate visits

The guest house is conveniently located to the US OFC center (by walk: 15 mins - next lane) and to the US embassy (by bus: Rs.11, 20-30mins by auto: depends on how you bargain :)). The bedsheets, room and bathroom are clean. The walls appear worn out though. Wifi is slow. Simple, pleasant stay- expect no frills. Good Veg food is available (7am - 10:00pm) at the veg restaurant downstairs.

After visiting and booking hotels in Udupi, Guruvayur and Kanyakumari we were somewhat disappointed with the Season 4 Guest House. The hotel price was considerably more and for a deluxe room not up to our expectations as the room was quite cramped. Perhaps in Chennai, hotels in general are more expensive being a larger city. That said; the hotel staff were very accommodating, could speak English and having a Vegetarian restaurant downstairs was convenient though the restaurant staff were not so accommodating and rigid with their menu. In the future if I were to visit Chennai again, I would try a different hotel though the Season 4 is passable.

Decent Hotel

Stayed here for couple of days. Room was not spacious. The hot water facility was a joke. The water was no where even close to being warm. However the room was very clean and the location was close to the biggest shopping hub in Chennai. They have a vegetarian restaurant on the ground floor. The food was good and the restaurant was clean.

This is a very basic place to stay. I feel the hotel management can do a bit more to make the stay comfortable. Stay here if you looking at location and the restaurant downstairs has good food and the free wifi is ok. Please note that breakfast is not part of the deal (read the fine lines).

Smell

Bad smell in the room (and all of the 1. floor), like its been all weet and never had dried completly. All our stuff in our bags had the same smell when we left. We also had headache from the smell. Staff was ok, but the place is to pricey for what it offers.

Not really up to the mark

I would not have minded spending some more money for hotel, but selected this because it was no.4 in Expedia. It was cheap but there are gems that you sometimes find. This was not really up to the mark mainly because they felt I had somehow cheated them by getting a deal at Expedia. Even after clearly mentioning the age of my kids and reserving 2 rooms (one for me & wife and one for the kids) since my children are 12 and 15; the hotel wanted to charge me extra money since they had the impression somehow that I had reserved 2 single occupancy rooms. After a 6 hour drive you do not want to be kept waiting for your room for a long time while things get clarified and you make phone calls and the hotel makes pone calls. Ultimately they gave me the room when I finally said I was willing to pay anything they wanted extra but please give the room so my family can rest. There was an explicit request that the rooms be next to each other, but initially the rooms allocated were not. Again I had to get angry and ask since many rooms were empty on the same floor and adjacent to one of the rooms. One of the room's bathroom light was not working and so again room was changed on request. Though the service staff was helpful with moving the luggage and being polite, the guy at the reception was not very polite or understanding that we were tired. Though I was not charged extra when I checked out (even though I asked), the experience left a bitter taste in the mouth.

For the price, this hotel is a solid choice

This hotel his fairly centrally located, but if you want to tell a cab driver where it is say "SIET College Road", not the actual name of the road (K.B. Dasan Rd) because no one knows what that is. The walls of the room were not clean and there were some strong incense smells at times from the restaurant downstairs, but overall the room was good for the price. The restaurant downstairs served food ranging from acceptable to good, depending on the item, and all of the staff were friendly and courteous (though most spoke very little English - it wasn't a problem but it may be for someone if they only speak English and need some kind of detailed information about something. The AC worked well, and other than the walls the room was tidy.
