It’s a basic bnb yet got everything you need. It’s clean and the room is spacious. The breakfast comes very different varieties and very delicious. This is a big add on. The location is in the middle of every spot of Alishan and can be reached within an hour if you are driving

A room with a view

An ideal base for exploring the area. Close to a bus stop on the highway. Staff are v helpful but do not speak English - just use Google Translate. Good lighting & shower in my double room but no seating.

Unrealized Potential

The woman who runs the place was delightful! The place itself… could definitely be better. It wouldn’t take much to turn this into a pretty nice hotel - a higher standard of cleanliness, having an outlet near the bed, or any sort of nightstand or lamp for when you want to relax and wind down, or maybe a chair to sit on that’s not toddler sized. If you’re just looking for a place to sleep and don’t care about much else, then this will do just fine. But the shower barely got warm and sprayed water everywhere outside the shower, and none of the surfaces looked clean. I rarely write bad reviews, but this is one of the most disappointing stays I’ve ever been to. The breakfast was pretty decent though, and the cats outside the main building were entertaining to watch. Do yourself a favor and check out the similarly priced B&B around the corner instead!

Location: all posted information without listening, it's close to public bus stop 龍頭站. Climbing up slope path around 15 minutes by foot from bus stop. Dining: Very good breakfast with many special products from local. But no dinner provide, no restaurant close to property. Only dining place is 7-11! :( Sunrise trip: 3 minutes walk from house, owner will give briefing of sun rise and sun set theory. Also introduce the mountain detailly, very friendly senior. :) Very nice environment, good for family visit, kids will love there.

Charming Taiwanese hostel

For travelers seeking an “authentic” Alishan experience, this local hostel offers a great deal. It lacks many of the amenities that tourists accustomed to Western lodgings will miss, but it is well-situated in the small township of Longtouping and is a great value for the area. Longtouping is on the bus route to Alishan national recreation area, about an hour further up the mountains. It is close to Shizhuo to the north, where you’ll find restaurants and tea shops, and Eryanping to the south, where a worthwhile trail begins. Our room was spacious as was the bathroom. The only less than ideal feature were the mattresses, which we found too hard; they also sat right on the wooden floor. The includes breakfast buffet was excellent and featured unique (and delicious) items such as steamed oolong bread and oolong tea baked bread. The proprietors were friendly and extremely helpful with suggestions. We managed our visit without a car, although we did hire a taxi for a full day of touring to Fenqihu, Shizhuo, and other sights.

Nice lodge but felt a little dirty

The main hall for breakfast felt lovely. It was nice and clean with beautiful wooden tables. The rooms felt like there was visible dust on the questionable decor pieces. It has some cotton swab like material covering the light fixtures which collected nothing but dust and dead bugs. It felt gross as that was hanging above the shower.the location was also difficult to drive to. Google les us through this one route which went up a very steep driveway. It was a narrow road that could barely fit one car. The ground felt fairly clean and bed was comfortable. The breakfast they served was also delicious. The motel cooked up fresh eggs and a delicious oolong tea bao.

The hotel itself is a bit above the hills so it maybe a little difficult for older people to get to with heavy luggage. I may be mistaken but there weren’t any restaurants nearby but there is a convenience store nearby so if you want to have something nice for dinner I recommend getting something to eat first. Everything besides that was fantastic. There’s a little clearing right above the hill the hotels located where you can see the sunrise, and I believe one of the staff was there and explaining something, though it was in mandarin and I could not understand. The room was reasonably clean. There’s no AC but it’s ok because it’s not too hot since it’s so high up. Breakfast was nice and the staff, though not very professional, more than make up for it in friendliness. Checkout took less than a minute, and the bus stop is less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel. They also have cats, which is nice.

Nice place to stay in Alishan

Owner very friendly and room is clean. Cats are cute. Overall I would say with under $50 dollars per night for 2 people this price is decent!

性價比還不錯的民宿

浴室的置物架可以看看要怎麼擺比較好，在浴室正中有點擋路。洗澡的水很容易流到馬桶這邊，加上氣候比較潮濕，沒那麼快乾比較不方便。 不然房間很乾淨，床也很舒適，早餐小菜很多樣，還有特別的茶饅頭很好吃，連外國人都喜歡 入住時還會跟你提醒日出的時間，很貼心
