We stayed in a disability room. We could see this room while OK for us would not be for someone in a wheelchair. It's on the 5th floor and a powered chair would not be able to get out of the lift or move around in the room or get into bed. There was no where to put your toiletries in the bathroom and it would have been nice to have a mirror over the basin. Rhe bed was hard. The staff were amazing and helpful. Having a restaurant as well as a kitchen and laundry on site are helpful to many different types of travellers.

Name is misleading, this is a hostel not a hotel. Lots of noise from the hallway shouting and doors slamming. Disturbances all night. Walls paper thin, could hear the person in the next room snoring. Shared bathrooms in the hallway with people peeing with the door open. No tea, coffee, private fridge or shampoo as you expect at a hotel. Paid parking often had no vacant carparks. Not suitable to children

I had a room without the attached bathroom, I was very pleased to see how many bathrooms there were. After imaging a queue I never saw another soul in the hallway let alone near the bathroom! This was a very busy weekend with 'Shakedown swing ' right next door. It was so handy to the black box, but with the Christchurch gardens and Hospital so close there are many reasons why you would choose this hotel There were also safe gluten free options and with a separate toster

While I was out during a day for skiing, my room was cleaned but a glass of tea I prepared on the table against the wall to keep it safe. I prepared tea before I leave my room as I went ski during the day was thirsty when I was back. When I came back to my room, the glass of tea was spilt on the table and the chair, floor and my jacket I hanged on the chair was wet. That apparently happened while my room was cleaned and left that way. I explained what happened to the hotel staff with pictures I took but I was told that house keeper staff would not do that. They did not do anything for my room and my wet jacket.

スタッフの方は、初の一人旅で英語もろくに話せない私に丁寧に接してくれました。自販機の前で手間取っていたら使い方を教えてくれたり、「タクシーはもう呼んである？」って声をかけてくれたり、とても優しかったです。クライストチャーチでの日々が最高の思い出になったのは、ホテルギブで過ごせた時間があったからです。クライストチャーチで私が接した人は総じて優しかったですが、このホテルの皆さんも同じでした。大好きな街になりました。本当にありがとうございました！

共用バスの個室にしましたが、部屋も広く、快適に過ごせました！共用バスの数も多く、ほぼ貸し切りで使用できます。トイレ・バスが一緒なので、だれかがシャワーを浴びているとトイレに入れないこともありますが、数が多いのでどこかのブースは空いているので困ることはないと思います。シャンプーやリンスといったアメニティはないので、用意が必要です。ドライヤーは部屋になかったですがフロントで貸し出ししてもらえました。数があまりなさそうでしたので、場合によっては借りられないかもしれません。 キッチンは自由に使えお湯も沸かさず使用できます。1階では、飲み水がもらえるため不自由なく過ごせました。

Rooms are good. Only problem is the light from the passage shines through around the door, so I had to put a towel across the bottom of the door to block the light. I thought the lights may dim at night or switch off in the passage.

Very clean room, really comfortable, small kitchenette with microwave and fully equipped for a simple meal. Beds were super comfy and bathroom was perfect! Everybody was very nice and helpful. They also offer a fantastic breakfast! Loved this place!
