"The ryokan at entrance was beautiful. The lobby and the whole lower floor was spectacular. Loved how walking inside your completely transported to a Japanese experience with bridged walkways shaped of arcs and where there was ponds underneath lthose bridges. Right before entering the onsen, on either men or women, there's an amazing walkway Japanese decorated pathway that leads to their very own and waterfall. "The staff are very accomodating and very welcoming. They picked us up from and sent us to the train station for free. They offered us ( 5 people) a ride with a ¥2000 fee to lake kawaguchi. They also offered to pick us up from the Fujikawaguchiko masjid back to the guesthouse for the same rate later that night but they did not turn up . Instead, they told us to get our own taxi as they have picked up another customer. Luckily we got a help from the masjid cafe staff who called a taxi for us. We...

"This property was a treat to stay in, especially for the price. The traditional futons made for a quiet, relaxing evening before a busy day of touring Fujiyoshida. I was a huge fan of the wood floor bathroom and wooden bathtub as well. I would recommend spring or summer stays, as the traditional construction means it will be quite cold in the winter, but it was a lovely stay and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Mt. Fuji."

"Loved the stay at Kounso. The room was spacious and had extra bedding that could be used to fit your preference. I was not sure about the shared bath, but each room reserves time slots, so you do not bath with strangers. I loved the cypress bath, it was perfect after a long day. I chose not to use the room heater because of the kerosene smell. Instead, the kotatsu table kept me plenty warm for this time of year. "古民家を綺麗且つ和モダンにリノベーションした素敵なお宿でした。 スタッフは常駐していませんが、きちんと連絡もとれ安心して過ごせました。 駐車場は無く、宿の前のコインパーキングを利用するのですが何も不便は感じませんでした。 個人的に不便と感じたのは2点。 Ⅰ　古民家故、階段がかなり急でありほぼ梯子で手摺を利用しないと登れません。シニアや3歳未満には昇降が難しいです。（客室は二階のため階段を登らないと客室には入れません） Ⅱ バケーションレンタルの形式ですが、キッチンはあるのですが別料金なのか施錠されており使えず、電子レンジもお部屋側にはありません。 （お弁当などは歩いて2分ほどの場所にデパートがあり地下で美味しいお弁当が手に入ります。コンビニも徒歩圏内です） Ⅰ.Ⅱを含めても、総じてオススメできる宿です。 お部屋もゆとりある設計で寛げます。 オススメできるお宿です。 "
