The Kalgoorlie "Super Pit". An eyesore but somewhat interesting nonetheless.
This open-cut scar has been spitting out gold for 120 years and locals says there's at least another 120 years' worth of gold still to be mined from it.
This pit is HUGE and as you can tell you can't see the bottom from this picture. This area of Australia has been gold mining for many of years. Though it is in the middle of the outback with not much to do if driving through Kalgoorlie take a break and see the Super Pit.
