Really nice place, seemed like an old barn and farm house. Breakfast was good too, lots of bread and jam.

Great B & B in a quiet old village
The B & B is situated in a lovely, very quiet village, with many old buildings. Breakfast was good, and the proprietor made us coffee in the evening, and brought it to our room. Really enjoyed our very short stay.

Perfect stop over on way to Alpes
Gorgeous little stop over on way to Alpes, room was big and clean. Very modern inside. Breakfast was continental so cold foods only but still nice.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The owners were lovely and went above and beyond to make our stay a pleasant one. They greeted us at our car on arrival, which was a lovely thought. As they didn't offer an evening meal they recommended a lovely lake side restaurant and even phoned to reserve us a table. The room was very spacious for a family room, with an amazing shower! We loved the small touches, such as 4 different colour towels, so we knew which were our towels. Breakfast was fantastic, great coffee and pastries and our children loved the pain perdu. We will definitely be visiting again. Thank you.

Arrived at 15.30 and rang bell/CCTV to ask if we could book in a bit earlier. Could see people moving in the house but they could not be bothered to even answer the intercom. As property is behind a locked gate we could not enter. We left and booked into a very nice hotel in Troye. We felt badly treated as if we are invading their personal space. What is the difference between 15.30 and 17.00 !!

Here, again!
Again, an exceptional overnight stay (we have stayed here previously, en route back to England). Delightful room, lovely breakfast with a most charming host. Clerey is within easy reach of the motorway at Troyes and we would recommend La Cler'Hier without hesitation.

Greeted by our friendly host, our accommodation was spacious. Bed comfortable, not too hard. Pretty village, took a stroll down to the Seine. Excellent place for overnight between Calais and the Alps.

Wonderful hosts, would definitely recommend booking dinner although they were kind enough to allow us to join them and two other guests for an excellent 5 course meal. Only suggestion would be to put a ceiling fan or something in the room - it was very warm and stuffy when we stayed (recognising it was exceptionally hot). Will definitely stay there again.

A delightful surprise
This place was a real surprise. We booked it quite late and just needed a place to stop overnight whilst heading from the UK to the Alps, but when we got there we almost wished we were staying longer. The place is a lovely old converted farm building I think, with a lovely courtyard and gardens and pool. The owner was super friendly, even though he'd had to stay up late when our Eurotunnel was delayed and we didn't arrive until 11.30pm. The breakfast in the morning was simple but delicious. great bread and croissants and conserves and an apricot cake that my wife kept coming back for! I could have happily chilled out in that garden all day, there are only a few rooms so it would never seem busy. It is also just a five minute walk from the Seine - another lovely surprise. If you are passing through or want a base for a relaxing long weekend, you could do an awful lot worse!
