โLovely house with charming grounds, all rooms different but spacious, superb freshly cooked to order breakfast, and other food on request.
Exceptional hospitality and although a very short stay we were made to feel like guests of friends rather than clients.
A lovely and historic building and grounds, the hosts [owners] obviously working hard to maintain the elegance, history and charm of a country house residence rather than just another hotel and they deserve every success as the love and...
โThis was a lovely place to stay, you canโt walk to town but the rooms are well appointed, breakfast and dinner were very good and the staff were efficient and friendly. My only negative is the check in is 5.30pm which is late and not in line with many other establishments. 4pm would have suited us better. Overall very good enjoyable stay โ
โAbsolutely stunning! We were in Awe just driving up to the hotel. Very clean with cozy beds. Wish we would have have time to stay and walk the grounds. โ
โFabulous weekend stay to celebrate our anniversary. The staff couldnt have been more helpful and friendly. The meal was beautiful and rooms were really comfy. Perfect weekend thank you ๐ โ
โAmazingly friendly welcome. Heading up to the room through a fog of cigarette smoke did not bode well, but, happily, the room was immaculate.
Service was second to none. Free parking in market square roght outside the hotel was a great bonus.
Will definitely return to The Leven. โ
โVery helpful, we were going to be later than anticipated arriving, phoned to let them know, they reassured us it was no problem, everything was ready for our stay.
Check-in at the bar was easy, staff showed us to our studio, staff very cheerful.
Food in the pub was great, not just pub grub.
Only downside, studio was small.โ
โThe food and drink was fantastic. The staff very helpful and their pub experience great! I wish we had more time allocated to experience this lovely part of the country. Also the cab service was fantastic and very flexible. โ
โVery friendly reception from the landlord Gareth who provided a most enlivening atmosphere in the Duke of Wellington ie a darts match for the men and Easter wreath making for the ladies. No food unfortunately but we found an excellent Italian restaurant in nearby Northallerton. The courtyard room was clean and comfortable, marred only by a very awkward shower - not easy to enter, due to lack of space.โ
