This place was very ideal for my stay. Very quite and clean. There’s no elevator so be use to walking the stairs, but other than that this place is quite the find.

Our experience with this Super 8 is always excellent. Every time we come to town we always choose this hotel due to the staff is always so friendly & take excellent care of us. Will continue to come here.

The front desk staff were fantastic. Very friendly, and very accommodating as we were in town for a wedding and needed an early check in - let us in no charge, no problems. We were very thankful. The out premises itself were OK, however the inside did have a musty smell to it. After running the A/C in the room all night it didn’t go away. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

Tight but Comfortable

It was a decent stay. It was comfortable and had two chairs, which is always important. Both my husband and I want chairs rather than be on the bed. Space was a little tight, but we made it work/

The staff was friendly and polite, but the property needs work. There was no coffee in the room. There was an ice bucket, but no drinking glasses. The bathroom was dirty and we just couldn’t bring ourselves to use it even to take a shower.

When I turned down the blanket on the bed the top sheet had stains on it, several. The hallway stank because they had huge leaks in the ceiling. Therecwere no paper cups or plastic cups in the room. The continental breakfast was barren, but the coffee was good.

Suitable for the price.

Everything was clean. It was a little crowded. They were very friendly and I could understand them when they talked. We specifically needed a room on the first floor, because we had one in a wheelchair. For breakfast we were offered to cook our own waffle, have cold cereal and donuts, have .oatmeal which we could make ourselves. There were milk, apple juice, and orange juice. I don't know about coffee, since I don't drink it, I did not pay attention. The bathroom was ok. There was a chip out of the counter the sink was in. The ice machine was not too far from our door. There were vending machines in the lobby. We had a frig and a microwave.

Very dirty. Lobby was hot. Room was hot upon arrival. Mold in bathroom around the sink. Tub floor was dirty and shower curtain was dirty stained on the bottom. Hall way smelled like pot. A friends room toilet kept running so we looked in it and found drug needles stuck in it. No I will never stay there again. Front desk person was nice.

Last Choice

All the other hotels in Alton were booked, so we had to stay here. This hotel is three stories and doesn’t have an elevator. You have to go up or down stairs to access all rooms. The staff at the desk were nice and friendly. The hotel itself needs work. The hallways have old carpet that smells. Fortunately, the rooms don’t have carpet. Our room reaked of bleach, but was happy it wasn’t the hallway smell. The room was basic, but comfortable. My husband thought the bed was too hard.

Go to Vegas.. much cheaper more fun

On a Monday night or room is over $200 and we arrived 2 hours early from out of state, nowhere else to go and they charged us $75 to check in, refused a discount despite hotels.com calling them, being less than half capacity, having the room ready, and in spite of us making them aware that that was all the money we had to spend at the hotel. They got their money up front and didn't care whether we enjoyed ourselves or not.The room was nice and clean but out of three TVs two did not work there were lights on the stairs that were on all night long making it impossible to sleep, the AC didnt work, the hotel bar overcharged us $60 for fries and three drinks?? All the other stores and restaurants were closed and the casino games are TIGHT Also construction noise began about 1 am, continueing throughout the night even as we checked out we recorded it. letting the hotel know about it they asked if we told anyone our complaints? I asked why? We stated our situation checking in, you refused to do anything to make our stay worthwhile. Hotels.com could do nothing to help us which was a huge letdown and the hotel just came across as Petty, greedy and thoughtless. All the restaurants were closed stores were closed and the hotel offered no valet, no bellman and no reason to ever stay there again. Go to Vegas,stay at a hotel for a WEEK and have a blast for less than ONE NIGHT here! TRUE STORY
