Very clean rooms
Booked a single room and a lovely receptionist Toby upgraded me to a double room. Rooms are very small but very very clean. And the staff were brilliant especially Toby. Would definitely stay here again

This place has great location and is really snug, but seriously get your act together and provide 2 pillows per person, it's not that hard!

I really liked this hotel. Location was convenient - easy walk to the train station and the sights in the city center. Staff was really helpful - especially the woman serving breakfast and the room was comfortable. If you are staying in Cologne, this place is an excellent choice.

Gem!
Gem of a hotel with a very central location, we went for the Christmas markets and they are literally all beside this hotel, it’s also very near the harbour, cathedral and chocolate museum. The staff are super friendly snd helpful. Complimentary breakfast was an added bonus and lovely addition for the great price. I would definitely book again if I was in Cologne.

Rooms are small but very clean and comfy. The hotel was the perfect location for the Christmas markets, the harbor , the cathedral, etc. All were a short, easy walk. I was very happy with our stay and the value!

Great location
Fantastic location - close to cathedral, Christmas markets, river, restaurants, shopping and museums. Free minibar lovely touch. Happy with room size, cleanliness and comfort...would use again!!

The hotel is ideally located for the Cathedral and the Christmas markets / shopping district. However the room was a bit on the tight side, the walls are a bit thin, we could hear what the couple next door were talking about and the pillow on the bed was so thin they might as well not have bothered.

Good quick booking in as i arrived early. Location great. 5 mins walk from the train station. Room On the 1st floor at the front of the hotel could be noisy in summer if you kept the window open. But not a problem on the dates I was there. Breakfast was good adequate for me . Nice coffee. Would return when next in cologne. Note review by single traveller in a single room

Fabulous boutique hotel nestled in perfect location within the old city close to the central station so no need for taxi and the staff was very professional and friendly. My only complaint was that they don’t have A/C and although we were provided a fan, it was extremely uncomfortable to sleep in the heat so I would definitely stay again but not during the summer.

Excellent location right in the heart of the city, close to the main station. No a/c but there were fans on the landing outside the room and we just borrowed on of those to cool the room. Once the window was closed the room was nice and quiet. Beds and pillows were comfy. Breakfast was standard European fare but a decent selection. Possibly the fastest elevator I’ve ever seen in a hotel! There was juice, water and beer in the room fridge for our (free) consumption, and we also stored our own water bottles and a small amount of food in there. Got a good price on hotels.com and daughter and I were very happy with our stay.

Hotel Sion exceeded all my expectations and more, it was prefect for our lil trip to cologne and was central to everything and this made it easy to walk to from cologne central station. The hotel itself was immaculate through out and our room was cosy and lovely layout for us two girls. The content of the minibar was free which was a lovely touch and breakfast was a great bonus. The lady who looks after the breakfast area was amazing at her job and always looked after us. If your looking to stay in cologne for a few days then I would recommend This hotel in a heartbeat.

We had a lovely room (107), comfy double bed. Bathroom was spotless with underfloor heating, small but perfectly formed. Room itself was a comfortable size. Great breakfast , and staff at breakfast very friendly and helpful. Reception night staff that checked us in could do with some service training. We arrived around 9pm and were not given any information regarding breakfast etc... literally “here’s your key” but staff during day seemed a little more professional. Cleaners made bed and replaced towels etc.. but didn’t wash glasses in room. We also did find a random dirty sock on shelving unit from previous guest. So could perhaps be a little more thorough! Only other recommendations I have is firstly to have one large king duvet cover on the bed rather than the 2 x single and secondly consider tea and coffee facilities in the room. Overall great location, modern hotel and good breakfast. Great value and would return.

Best hotel in Cologne
It's a small family run hotel that have everything that you need for your holidays, the minibar at the room is included, they gives you 2 tickets for free beer at a restaurant arround the corner with the same name. The stuff also speaks spanish, which i found very useful as i that is my native language.

Very friendly staff at reception. Rooms very clean and the Hotel is perfectly situated for all the local sights. 10 minutes walk from Cologne Cathedral and the riverfront. Great restaurants nearby. Highly recommended from us.
