Great stay in a clean room with a large bed and bathroom perfect for our stay in Tortuguero. The room had air conditioning and a great view right on the water with two rocking chairs on a nice porch area. Within walking distance to the town.

Was a beautiful and clean room for my family if 4. It was updated nicely, walkable to all town restaurants and shops, and the air conditioning was heaven with the humidity. Definitely recommend!

Quiet, hasi it’s own dock for boats, shuttles pick you up the property as long as you wait for them outside.owner connects you with a tour company that is very reliable . Rooms have hot water an air conditioning which is a blessing when you come back from the outdoor activities. Love the place and donot think there is a nicer place this close to the village.

Great to stay in the centre of Tortuguero with local people around. A stone’s throw from the beach and from places to eat. Canoe tour, night tour and transport to Puerto Viejo arranged via the hotel - and these were all fantastic and great value. Maw (who arranged these) met us from the boat and was very helpful

Great Stay in Tortuguero

The room was super cute and very comfortable! Lots of beds for larger families. My kids enjoyed the little pool. Henry and Zajaria (did I get that right? ) were super helpful! They helped with the TV, gave us extra blankets, and helped me with my Spanish. We had a great stay!

We loved our stay, very friendly hotel. Beautiful Island. We had to travel for two of the days back and forth to Torteguero so missed out on two nights. Easier to be in San Jose for our flights. Hotel said they would refund the days.

Love at first sight!

The hotel is located a short walk from the citycenter. From the porch you have two meters to the river. Nice chairs to sig and watch the sunset. The owners was fantastic. They helped you with everything. Nice and clean room with a very good aircondition. For me, this was love at first sight!

We arrived to Tortuguero on July 2, 2024. Our room was so nice! We were on the front street side. The room was huge, with a giant bathroom with a shower and an extra large 2 person soaking tub. Great mattresses….1 queen, and solid bunk beds with a trundle, so it slept 5. Small pool, but perfect for us. Henry is a great guy! We highly recommend!

This property has a central location in the small village that is easily walkable to the main attractions and less than a 5 min walk from where the small ferry boats arrive. It has a very small clean pool, fridge and coffee making facilities. It was well priced and we preferred to spend the extra money on the tours. Air-conditioning was perfect. There is a well priced supermarket on the corner and an ice-cream shop and cafe just a few doors down. It is on the way to the night turtle tour. We enjoyed it as a family of 5

This property was just as described. The staff was excellent and arranged to have someone at the water taxi on each end to help guide us from La Pavona to Tortuguero to Casablanca. We didn’t notice the “no hot water” on the description but the shower was refreshing on the hot day. Air conditioning was excellent in every way. It would’ve been nice to have blankets on the beds, especially on the bottom beds (just a sheet) but not a huge deal for us. The pool would be fun for kids (it is the size of a hot tub). The staff was very prompt to respond on WhatsApp when they weren’t nearby.

Nice place but a few flaws that need sorting

A nice place but an bit of an indifferent welcome followed by a few minor problems. The kitchen has great facilities unless you need to heay water or cook. Just 2 frying pans or a huge pot to use. No regular kettle or coffee machine so we had to use the microwave to heat water. The refrigerator was temperamental too and leaked water. Also, the owners were absent and we could not find anyone when we needed someone - we ran out of toilet paper and also wanted blankets. This happened 3 or 4 times and we shouted and knocked but nobody was to be found.

Great Place to Stay.

It was great from the start to the finish. Even before our arrival we received a lot of specific details on how to prepare for our stay. For those of you who don't know, Tortugeuro island can only be reached by boat. Starting at La Pavona boat dock, we were met by a guide, Donis, who showed us to the boat which took us to the island. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Adrian who carried part of our luggage and walked us over to the hotel. Overall we enjoyed our stay for one-night at Hotel Casablanca Tortugeuro. It was clean and compact with an unexpectedly large bathroom. Henry is a wonderful host! He went out of his way to get some coffee for me. In a great central location. Supermarket and restaurants around the corner, boat docks and beach only a couple minutes walking. We went to bed early to get ready for a 5 AM wake up for a canoe tour but were kept awake by the neighbors, locals not tourists, who live across the street who were talking fairly loudly among themselves well past 11 PM. Some dog barking every now and then. Not the hosts fault, I guess this happens everywhere else in the island given how close the houses are to each other. Not a big deal however. It was definitely a great place to stay and we wnjoyed our visit to Tortuguero.
