This is a wonderful little hotel. The owners were so helpful and friendly, the food was excellent, and it is a lovely place to stay. It’s so great when you find a family run business where they clearly understand a value of their customer base.
Hotel was clean and in a great location, easily walkable around the center of copenhagen, close to nyhavn, rosenburg castle and gardens and much more! Rooms are a little small but perfect as a “homebase” while travelling
Great place to stay for a quick stop. We needed a place for one night before our cruise. Staff are wonderful. Place is clean and bed was comfortable. That is all we need.
We stayed 8 nights at the Petra Hotel. The room, staff and location were excellent. Everything seemed to be a walkable distance, but we like to walk. One thing that might deter people choosing this hotel is the lack of AC. We visited in late July and the room was hot. The Petra restaurant also deserves recognition as the breakfast and coffee were also excellent. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again if the opportunity arises.
Staff were great but no AC/fan whatsoever in the room.
Noisy street outside, until at least 3:30 in the morning.

Wouldn’t stay here again. With no AC, room was hot and humid. Lots of noise from street. Noisy inside too. Room was tiny - no bathroom counter space, nowhere to put anything. Barely enough room to open suitcase on the floor. Be careful when bending down to put something in the bathroom trash can. There is a good chance you will stab your head on the small metal shelf. Breakfast was nice and room was clean. Tiny elevator - only enough room for one person and bag. Great location, close to park and nice restaurants.
Great hotel in good location. The park is just next door with beautiful gardens for a morning stroll. Nyhavn is ten minutes walk, and so
Is norreport with the food halls for grazing at torrehalven & train links to all the top spots up the coast- Louisiana art gallery, deer park, helsingor and Karen blixen museum.
Breakfast options are limited but carefully curated and plenty of other cafe options are nearby. Staff were all excellent, friendly & professional service made a fantastic stay.
The room was the size of an inside cruise ship cabin. Way over priced. It was hard to maneuver around the bed since the bed was up against three of the walls. Actually I think an inside cruise ship cabin actually has more room. Would not recommend hotel to my friends.
We stayed here for our honeymoon for 4 nights the largest room which is called as the superior room was advertised at 230 sqft when we got to the room it was much much smaller than expected. The second largest room is also smaller than the sqft advertised. The property is in a great location the staff are nice. The train station is a 10 min walk from the hotel which is an added perk
Great hotel! 1. location is perfect! 2. room is so cozy and clean. 3. the design of this hotel is superb and super Scandinavian. 4. staff is super friendly and helpful. 5. One of the things that will make me go back to this hotel is paying attention to small details like having a curly hair diffuser. I have visited and stayed at top-notch hotels in Europe and Latin-America and ofc, United States. I have never seen a hotel adding curly hair diffuser. This is my first time seeing it here at Hotel Petra and that shows the great user experience they created by paying small attention to details. Room was very comfy and cute. One thing is it doesn't have AC if Denmark is having a hot summer and your room is facing the street. It could be loud on the weekend if people are spending some time in the streets at night. But honestly, I will be back again in July! Great location, breakfast and dinner menu is super fancy and delicious too.
Cleaning lady stole our bag that we left behind on accident and management did nothing to get it back. Room is tiny, absolutely unacceptable experience. Will never be back and do not recommend.
The hotel has potential, but there are areas that could be improved.
The wardrobe only provided hangers for shirts and jackets, but none suitable for trousers. The room itself was very dim in the evening, making it impossible to use the full-length mirror properly.
At the front desk, the service felt unfriendly. When I asked for assistance in calling a local restaurant, as I did not have a local number, the staff seemed reluctant to help.
I also tried breakfast at the hotel restaurant. Unfortunately, the oat latte tasted sour and seemed expired. On a positive note, the scrambled eggs were cooked well, though they lacked seasoning, while the toast was excellent.
